Foundation School Executive Officer Belfast

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £12.86 p/h

Hours: 37.5 hpw

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific duties of the post will include:
FOUNDATION TEACHING

• Coordinating & planning  schedules with the facilitators
• Working with the Band 3 to coordinate the sessions throughout the academic year

FOUNDATION RECRUITMENT
2. To co-ordinate the organisation of the Foundation Recruitment process in line  within the Foundation School. This will include:
• Liaising with Director & Deputy Director of Foundation school, and Foundation Programme Directors to determine the process of recruitment
• Create and manage recruitment exercises electronically via the Oriel online application system
• Coordination of dates and panel membership for shortlisting and interviews
• Coordinate interview schedules
• Prepare documentation for interviews
• Assist with arrangements for pre-employment checks, including references, for those appointed.

FOUNDATION SCHOOL BOARDS & TRAINING COMMITTEES
3. To assist with Foundation School Board and Foundation Programme Director Committees to include:
• Communication with members regarding meetings
• Preparing Agendas and taking minutes when required

 

Essential Criteria

GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR higher qualification
AND
2 A Levels OR equivalent OR higher qualification
AND
18 months’ relevant experience*
OR
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience*

2. Experience in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

4. Ability to maintain and improve services, systems and customer service to meet high standards of quality and professionalism.
5. Ability to ensure a high level of accuracy in own work.
6. Ability to plan ahead and work to deadlines, including prioritisation of own workload and that of others.
7. Ability to manage, analyse and evaluate information to aid effective decision making.
8. Ability to plan, allocate and evaluate work for staff and self.

1. Six month’s experience in co-ordinating arrangements for events.
2. One year’s experience of providing administrative support to committees to include minute taking.
3. Experience of financial administration, to include processing payments and invoices.
